The seeds were …
The seeds were started in rockwool grow cubes and then moved into the grow system once the plants got about an inch tall.
Hello,
I was …
Hello,
I was wondering if you used a growing medium or did you just put the seeds in the netting or did you buy little plants and put them in the netting?
Please answer as soon as possible I would love to build something using these instructions
Dear Sir, thank you …
Dear Sir, thank you for this great video, It was so much more amazing to see stuff like this as opposed to mindless reality tv. You are inspirational. I may try a beginner’s planting.
you lost me on step …
you lost me on step 5. how did you prevent the lick on the tubes again, please?
Very nice and thank …
Very nice and thank you. I plan to replicate what you did but i think I’m going to try using a solar panel to power the pumb.
can you explain me …
can you explain me the hidraulic system please?, i dindnt understood it how is mounted…
how much would …
how much would this system effect your electricity bill
Yes its only …
Yes its only intended for smaller stuff like lettuce, basil. Larger crops would tip over and clog the pipes. You are correct.
What sort of plants …
What sort of plants did you grow? I can only imagine smaller ones with less root systems as those pipes don’t look large enough to grow a full sized plant.
It’s a pond pump I …
It’s a pond pump I purchased at Lowes. I’m not sure of gallons per minute, I just got a pump strong enough to lift the water 6 feet.

I’m going to build something similar. Could you tell me exactly what pump you’re using? Or at least its GPH rating? Thanks.
that was very …
that was very inightful
Yes, please see my …
Yes, please see my Dutch Bucket video. That may work better for you. Yes, you can space the holes as much as you want, depending on plant need. I use Fox Farm liquid nutes, the directions for usage are on the bottle.
Sir,
Can I take a …
Sir,
Can I take a baby plant from a pot, and put it in this system?
if not, can you redirect me to the process of growing plants in this system from step 1?
and also, your system has 6 holes in each tube, can they be longer? shorter? more holes? Less holes? and where do i find the nutrients? and what are they called? and how do i measure? ….
Thanks. Sorry for the begginner Q’s.
your vid is …
your vid is helpfull as i am intrested in doing this. its so eco friendly and has been around for thousands of years. thanks and keep up the good work my frien. GO GREEN.
Yes you’re right. …
Yes you’re right. You just drop the rockwool directly into the hole. I actually cut a piece of fiberglass window screen about a 1.5 inches wide and about 6 inches long and “draped” the rockwool cube with this screen, then lowered into the hole. Makes removal easier and also stabilizes the cube. I’ve got a close up picture of this in one on my videos. Since this is NFT is runs 24/7 365.
Very nice, but how …
Very nice, but how do you put the plants in the hole? do you just put the rockwool with the plant into the hole? How many times a day do you run this? And when you do how long do you it for?
I heard you can …
I heard you can use air with fog instead of water.
I don’t know much …
I don’t know much about tobacco, sorry
Finally, someone …
Finally, someone that gets the background music right!
I used a standard …
I used a standard pond pump, from lowes.
I’m too cheap to …
I’m too cheap to buy this stuff premade, so I used standard PVC and a hole saw ( drill and hole saw bit) to drill the holes. I cleaned the edges up with a file and sandpaper. The holes for the nutrients is just a standard 1/4 inch dill bit to fit the irrigation tubes. To germinate seeds, I soaked rockwool overnight, placed seeds in holes and placed in a germination tray with a wicking mat and lid. Hit the seeds with flourescent lights 24/7. No nutrients on seeds or seedlings
Couple of questions …
Couple of questions… first of all, with the flow tubes? Can you buy them pre-drilled or did you drill the holes yourself (the grow chambers) as well as the holes for the nutrients/water to flow into? What kind of pump do you recommend? Can you germinate seeds in the rockwool/nutrient solution?
have you done …
have you done tobacco? if so did it work good in this system.. thank you
